SOLARWORKS NJ COMPLETES BERRY STREET COMMONS PROJECT IN FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ

TURNERSVILLE, NJ– SolarWorks NJ, LLC, a leader in designing, managing, and building turnkey solar electricity installations and renewable energy solutions, today announced completion of a solar energy system installation in FranklinTownship, NJ.
SolarWorks NJ installed photovoltaic (PV) systems on the roofs of the affordable housing complex known as Berry Street Commons. The site, located at 42-44 Berry Street, was developed by the Montclair based RPM Development Group.

The installation and systems, designed to offset a majority of the building’s electrical load, received funding through the Sunlit Program which was developed by the NJHMFA in conjunction with the NJ Clean Energy Program. A first of it kind in the country, the Sunlit program supports solar installations for multi-family affordable housing.
“This represents a significant step forward in the effort to make NJ the leader in solar applications in general but also the affordable housing market. We are very proud to be a part of this effort,” Masapollo added.
Two systems will be utilized at Berry Street Commons. A 28.080 kW system was installed on the roof of 42 Berry Streetand a 25.056 kW system was constructed on the roof of 44 Berry Street. Both systems utilize state the art Sharp 216 Watt modules and SMA Sunny Boy inverters. The solar energy being produced will ensure low cost electricity for Berry Street Commons for many years to come.
SolarWorks NJ, working with RPM Development, gained national attention with the Springfield Commons Project. This 80 kW solar energy system is the first and largest system in Newark, NJ. Springfield Commons is a 51 multi-unit affordable housing project.
